Ingredients
- 1 cup of Carolina Rice (rinsed)
- 1 cup of water (add a pinch of salt)
- 1/2 gallon (or 7 cups) of milk
- 1/2 pint of heavy cream
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 tsp of vanilla extract
- cinnamon??
Instructions
- rinse Carolina Rice
- put rice and pinch of salt into a pot of water
- bring water + rice to a boil (til it’s nice and bubbly)
- once it’s boiling add all of the other ingredients
- stir just to let it all mix, don’t go crazy
- let simmer for 1 hour on low heat (you can stir it every so often, but be gentle!)
- pour hot rice pudding into a shallow dish
- add some cinnamon on top if you’d like (my grandma always did)
- refrigerate (idk how long, I let it sit overnight)
- enjoy :)
